In 2006, John was awarded the All-Ireland Entrepreneur of the Year award and was included on a list of Most Influential Irish Tech Entrepreneurs Under 40 in 2012. John has also invested in and mentors early-stage tech companies via a number of national and international organisations, such as the National Digital Research Centre and Social Entrepreneurs Ireland.

Conall O’Móráin is managing director of communications company The Media Group and presented Today FM’s weekly Sunday Business Show radio programme for 13 years.

 He tweets under @ConallOM and is a prolific blogger for his www.mediagroup.ie clients.

After studying at UCD, he worked with RTÉ as the national station’s first Business Correspondent. He then spent eight years as a stockbroker before returning to the world of media. He has also been involved in publishing and TV programme production. She grew up in Limerick then spent ten years in the Middle East developing commercial and leisure brands for the Omani Government. There she founded the Irish Business Network and co-founder of Oman GAA and the Omani Irish Friendship Society.

She returned to Ireland in 2013 to complete the full time MBA at Trinity College Dublin and is now a founding team member and Commercial Director at GRID Finance. Andrea is a regular speaker at conferences, summits and universities. Topics range from financial inclusion, non-bank finance, crowdfunding, sharing economy, social entrepreneurship, FinTech, women in business, Irish diaspora, minimal viable brands (MVB) and much more. During his 4 years in DCU, Garvan founded and oversaw the expansion of an entrepreneurial society that grew to over 6,500 members across 3 different colleges – DCU, St. Pats & UCC, the largest college society in Ireland.

Ann O’Dea is CEO and co-founder of Silicon Republic, Europe’s leading technology and innovation News Service, reporting online since 2001. Ann is also the driving force behind Silicon Republic’s Women Invent campaign,

launched in 2013, to champion remarkable female role models in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and to help tackle the gender gap in the knowledge industries. She is the founder of Inspirefest, a unique annual international sci-tech event, which takes place in Dublin and is grabbing headlines for disrupting the traditionally ‘male and pale’ tech conference calendar. Ann was awarded a fellowship in May 2015 from the Irish Computer Society for her work in championing women in STEM, and a Net Visionary award from the Irish Internet Association for her work on ensuring the visibility of remarkable women role models in her industry. Ann was named ‘Media Woman of the Year’ at the Irish Tatler Women of the Year Awards 2014. In 2016, she was the first woman to be inducted into the Irish Internet Association’s Hall of Fame. Claire McDermott

Claire obtained an honours Bachelor of Civil Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway and a Masters’ Degree in Medical Ethics and Law from Kings College, London. Having worked in The Coca-Cola Company’s legal department 

 as a legal assistant Claire joined Flynn O’Driscoll in 2010 as a trainee solicitor. Claire was admitted as a solicitor in 2014 and is also qualified in England and Wales. Claire is a key member of the Aviation and Asset Finance team and advises clients on all aspects of aircraft finance and leasing transactions, including leasing, debt financing and export credit agency supported transactions. Claire has acted for banks, leasing companies and investors in relation to complex cross border aviation finance and leasing transactions including those supported by the ECA and Ex-Im Bank. Claire is also a member of the Employment team, and completed the Law Society Diploma in Employment Law in 2015. She advises companies and employees on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Claire advises clients in the areas of Aviation and Asset Finance; Employment Law and Commercial Law.
