On the back of IIBN London's most incredible event with Philomena Lee back in October last year I ran off to Waterstones to pick up The Lost Child of Philomena Lee by Martin Sixsmith. A totally heartbreaking story of a mother and the son she was forced to give away. Be ready for an immediate onslaught of emotions from utter disbelief to disgust and anger. And yet, when Philomena spoke at the event she displayed not an ounce of hate. The world can learn from this amazing lady especially in our current troubled times. Thank you IIBN for this event - without exaggerating it was by far the best event I have been to in London EVER.
Request: Given the current Brexit storm I'm keen for IIBN London to host a panel event in Q1 this year. We need a measured, panic free discussion on economic growth, opportunities for Irish and UK companies and what's next for the UK. Is the next generation doomed or are there huge opportunities that our kids will benefit from. Perhaps we should invite James O'Brien to speak? An arch Remainer, James is considered the conscience of liberal Britain. I'm a huge fan and would love to gain his insight but very keen for him to be up again a Brexiteer.....Thoughts? Suggestions?
