We are delighted to be joined by Peter Ryan, Ambassador of Ireland to Aotearoa New Zealand and Samoa and Peter Lennox CEO of MetService, on Wedesday, 17th June at 9pm (Irish time) for a discussion about doing business in New Zealand.

Peter Ryan moved to New Zealand in 2018 to open the Irish Embassy there.  Ambassador Ryan has served as Second Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission at the Irish Embassy in Seoul, Korea, before moving to the Embassy of Ireland, Singapore and working for the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources covering ICT, science and energy policy in the Asia-Pacific Region.  After that, he was appointed Director of the Asia-Europe Foundation in Singapore before moving to New York as Deputy Consul General for three years.  He served four years as Consul General of the Consulate General, Hong Kong, before taking up his current role as resident Ambassador to New Zealand.

Peter Lennox is CEO of MetService, which he joined from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, having previously worked for Industry New Zealand at the time of the merger with Trade New Zealand in July 2003.  He was Industry New Zealand’s biotechnology sector director.  From 1999 to 2002, Peter was the director of biotechnology networks for Scottish Enterprise - the national economic development agency of Scotland.  He has also spent five years in New York working for Scotland’s Foreign Direct Investment Agency; headed up Scottish Trade International (STI), the UK government export agency; and had extensive private sector experience in the food and beverage sector.  Peter has post-graduate degrees in biochemistry and biological sciences from Queen's University (Belfast) and Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh), as well as an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Glasgow University.
