Danny McCoy is Chief Executive Officer of Ibec since 2009. Ibec is Ireland’s largest business representative organisation and the country’s largest lobbying group. It has 240 staff in seven locations and has 38 sectoral brands and substantial presence within the European Union through Ibec’s Brussels office.
Prior to joining Ibec, Danny was a senior economist at both the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin. He has held lecturing posts at Dublin City University, University College London, University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. He has been a consultant for the European Commission and the OECD. He has been a member of the Irish National Competitiveness Council, the National Economic
and Social Council, the Commission on Taxation and the National Training Agency. He led a European Macroeconomic Forecasting Network for the European Commission of eleven national research institutes.
He currently is President of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland, Honorary Fellow of the Academy of Engineers, member of the Export Trade Council and the Executive Bureau of BusinessEurope.
Jacky Fox leads Accenture’s security practice in Ireland. She has 20+ years’ experience in the industry, serves as Vice-chair on the board of Cyber Ireland and lectures on Cyber Security in UCD. She is an active researcher and public speaker and was awarded security champion of the year 2018 in Ireland. Jacky was also named in the EMEA SC 50 women of influence in cyber.
Andrew Fitzmaurice is the founder of Templar Executives EMEA, London, Cork & Singapore, which is an award winning Cyber and Information Security Consultancy. He specialises in government and commercial sector board-level engagements to enhance business performance and mitigate risk.
Andrew has worked in the Cabinet Office where he set up and ran the Office of the Government Senior Information Risk Owner (OGSIRO) and has been closely involved in authoring key publications and policies including the UK’s National Information Assurance/Cyber Security strategies. He also advises on the FCO Commonwealth Cyber Security Programme and is a mentor to Ministers from the Commonwealth Countries.
He is a Visiting Professor at Oxford University.
Des Ryan, Director of Solutions and Cyber Security at Microsoft Ireland. He is a member of Microsoft Ireland’s Senior Leadership Team and holds commercial responsibility for driving new business and solution sales growth.
He is also responsible for customer success, ensuring that Microsoft’s customers derive the maximum value from their use of Microsoft’s cloud technologies. He and his teams work with Microsoft’s Enterprise and Public Sector customers as well as Microsoft Partners to understand their key challenges, empowering them to digitally transform and stay relevant within a rapidly changing technological landscape.
Enda Brady is an award-winning London-based Sky News Correspondent, covering everything from terror attacks in Europe, to the migrant crisis in Italy and presenting Sky’s coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
